Completing a task is great!

I finally can do today's blog post! Yeah!

Anyway, I feel sort of ill today. Sort of down with the flu. Anyway, I don't feel it now. After eating breakfast, I went to the barber to cut my hair. Apparently, it looks better on me than an army haircut. Then, I went back and did some 3rd lang e-learning. For the first time, I only retried a quiz once! Yes! I would start dancing now, just that I don't know how to dance, and I might disturb my neighbours. I ate my lunch at 2, and watched the last episode of a Korean drama series "The Last Scandal of My Life". Ironically, its female star by 崔真实, the Korean star who commited suicides after a series of Internet rumours. It should be selling like crazy now in Korea. As Valkyrie Cain's uncle Gordon comments in Skulduggery Pleasant: Playing With Fire, the works of people who have recently died will earn a great profit. After watching the final episode, I've been filling in 9 days of memories and here I am now. It feels good to accomplish a task like this. However, the price I'm paying is that I have just used up 5hours that could have been used for next week's tests.

But whatever: there's no point crying over spilt milk. And this spilt milk was not spilt in vain. I think you get the metaphor. Cheers and bye!

Day of reunion 30/1/09

Woke up at 9 today. Not surprising at all. Anyway, after eating breakfast, I rushed my 3rd lang and school homework and finished them just before lunch, which was at 1. Then, my cousins living upstairs, my father and me played blackjack and I won! I really won a lot this time, for I remember beginning with somewhere around 5 bucks and ending with somewhere around 6 times more than that. Then, I went to my aunty's house and played a little bit of blackjack there. Due to time constraint, we moved the game to my uncle's house, since we were supposed to be there before 7 and we arrived at my aunty's house at 6. I won $4 at that time. Then, at my uncle's house, after playing a little blackjack, I won $6 and left the game. I am not a greedy person. It was 10.20pm at that time, and I went up to my cousins room, where I realised that my cousin had been training me in Maple. Sigh...I realised the joy of Maple then and  sort of regretted playing blackjack till so late, cause we had to go at 10.30. But never mind, at least I won some money.

YEAH!!! Now I'm only left with today to cover!

27/1/2009 CNY Day 2 ¬ 28/1/09 CNY Day 3

Hi all!

Day 2: (I think I forgot to mention, so I'll mention it now: I slept at my grandpa's house). This day was basically punctuated with both babies (Newborn, within two months of each other a year ago) crying sounds. In fact, I was woken up by those crying sounds. At 6.30am. You should try it, sleeping at 12.30 and waking up to a baby's crying. Anyway, we went to the place we have always gone for breakfast. The food was as good as always, but there was no chee cheong fun. Boo. ("Boo" seems to be appearing commonly in my blog). Then, we went to my uncle's house, and we enjoyed the sea breeze (or was it the river?)Anyway, his house was built on the banks and the breeze was nice. OF course, good things don't last and after gorging myself on my aunt's CNY snacks, we went back. The older baby was in our car and she seemed to have fun kicking me while attempting to sleep. 

Anyway, we went back, and what did we do? Play blackjack! Well duh. It's CNY. I didn't mention Mahjong and have been enthusiastically discussing blackjack. What do you think we played? It was quite good, considering that I won RM20sth. However, I gave all my winnings to my cousin, whom I believd was my good luck charm. You might say I'm crazy (that's what my mum said), or you might say that the money was better spent on you (that's what my dad said), but hey, I'm supersitious. After having steamboat dinner at 8pm, (We played blackjack for a long time, considering that we came back home at 2) we watched "Just Follow Law" on TV, the Jack Neo film that I really like cause its so funny and so heartwarming. Then, we played (do I even need to say?) until 1am. I nearly lost, but still walked away with RM10 in the end.

Day 3:

I woke up at 8 today. At least the babies didn't wake me up. That's good. We left my grandpa's house at 10.30. Due to a horrendous Causeway jam that still makes me shudder, I slept a total of four hours on the way back. This gave me the sufficient strength to edit a piece of homework that had become factually incorrect (it was 在新年发生的一件事). However, it wasn't a lot of editing, so it was still OK.

That's all for today! Yes - I'm only left with...oops, still a very long time. Nevermind, I think I can do it. Sayonara!

26/1/09: CNY!!!!

Yeah! It's CNY now! After waking up at 8, even though I slept at 2.30, for reasons unknown, I ate my breakfast, which was symbolic and really delicious (my mum's cooking always is), went to the temple to pray, went to my grandmum's house to eat, and went to my aunt's house to play blackjack, hoping to win big like I did the day before. Unfortunately, I won -$10. Around $10. Boo. But nevermind, cause my dad won it. And he gave it back. He's such a great dad.

After that, we left for Malaysia to pay a visit to my mum's dad, whom I shall call Grandpa. We're coming back only on the 28th. Car journey was long, tedious, boring and sleep-inducing. In fact, I think I made up for all the hours I've been sleeping late. I know, I know, you can't make up for sleep like that, but you get the rough idea. We arrived at Grandpa's house at 11pm, had our really late dinner (It was dinner, cause I didn't eat anything from 3pm onwards. And I ate a small slice of home made buttercake by my mum at that time.) Slept at 12.30 in my cousins room.

25/1/09: CNY Eve.

Details are as follows.

Woke up. Breathed. Breathed again. Breathed again.

OK, Ok, just joking. Today, basically tidied up the house, finished the loose wisps of homework I missed yesterday, and went to Grandma's house to play blackjack. Won $16. Don't expect a treat, cause I'm still sore. My father lent me $6 to play the last game, where everyone takes three cards, see what is the sum of the numbers/pictures on the cards, and the guy with the sum of 9/10 takes it all. Of course, 10 is the best. With my father's loan, I won $26 and how much does he give me? A measly $10!

I see my brain swear word detector going off, so I shall not mention any more. At night, went back and basically waited till 12, before saying happy new year to my dad and mum. Then, I helped them to wrap the red packets. Sigh, should have "accidentally" stuffed more money into mine...

But still, it was a good day. Cheerios!

Countdown to CNY 24/1/2009

Hi all again!

Yeah, I know, it's WAY past that day, but still gotta account for it right? Anyway, I basically crammed one week's homework into today. It rocks, you know. I'm still trying to figure out why am I still able to type. In fact, I'm also wondering why am I not in Woodbridge or the hospital right now. Anyway, yeah. That was the 24/1/09. It's short, cause I'm making up for lost blog entries. Also, it's the same logic as compo writing. If it's too long, there'll most likely be grammar mistakes, right? So for this entry, if it's too long, there'll be more vulgarities. I think. Cheerios!
